Do we need a rental car?
The best way to explore Dominica is to have your own vehicle. You don’t need a car if you plan on relaxing at home, but you wouldn’t want to miss out on the beauty of Dominica.
Here are a few car rental websites:
1) Courtesy Car Rental: www.dominicacarrentals.comTtel +1 767 235 7763 or +1 767 275 7763. You can WhatsApp them. However they prefer communication via the website email form, as you can see their fleet and prices.
2) Bonus Car Rental: Tel +1767 235 2651 or +1 767 616 9201. WhatsApp call or message to Lyn Warrington.
3) Valley Car Rentals: email: valley@cwdom.dm, website: www.valleyrentacar.com. Tel +1 767 275 1310.
A small 2 door 4×4 jeep would be a good idea. Courtesy and Valley usually have these, and small cars.
Also let them know if you would like manual or automatic. Remember we drive on the left side of the road and usually use right-hand drive vehicles. You must be 25 years or older with at least 2 years driving experience to rent a vehicle in Dominica.
Book as early as possible because last minute availiability is not assured – especially diring peak holiday and festival times.
